NFC classes started back today…we had a great first class of the school year!

Merry Christmas!

We have normal classes tonight at the Northside Community Center, come join us!

UKC will be closed next Tuesday, but resume on January 4th.

WOW!!! These guys are GREEN Belts!! We are so very proud. GMH says this may just be one his best kids classes yet! These guys practice at school AND at the adult classes, throughout their summer, as well as the school year.

Congratulations, Warriors!!!

Taylor Cross - Blackbelt Warrior Elite Test

You are invited to witness this monumental day in the life of Taylor Cross and in the history of United Karate Concepts.

It is always a special day when a student tests for their blackbelt, putting all that they have learned to the ultimate test.

This journey began 10 years ago for Taylor when she was in elementary school at NFC and started in our UKC Kid's program. She has had many stops and starts, changing schools and this year graduating from Florida High.

She has chosen to not just test for the UKC Blackbelt, but to go for Warrior Elite, which puts her in a very special category because she will be taking on additional physical requirements to meet the challenge.

To say we are proud of her is an understatement. We always get emotional at this point; how could you not since we have shared 10 years of her life and watched her grow into a beautiful, accomplished young lady? But for her, this is just the beginning...Blackbelt rank opens up the door for a whole new experience with the next phase of her training.

Please pray:

1. That God will give her calmness and bring to her mind all that she has studied.
2. That He will equip her with the energy and stamina she needs to complete her physical tests.
3. That most of all He is glorified through her life and our organization.

This test is about 3 hours, come out and cheer her on!

What a wonderful day at UKC Kids! We had most of our students test and they ALL passed! GMH said this is the absolute best class he’s had in quite awhile and no doubt they are all headed to blackbelt!!

Then we had our class Christmas party!

2020 has been challenging to say the least, but these guys studied online when they needed to, trained at the park in the heat and sometimes the rain; but they persevered and here they are, crushing it!

We’re excited for the New Year and it’s on to the next level!

Look at these AMAZING UKC KIDS! We’re so proud of the dedication we are seeing. They said they will be practicing every night this week!

Our UKC Kids are the best!! We had all day online ZOOM classes/pop quizzes and we couldn’t be prouder! These kids have shown us they are really practicing and keeping up with their martial arts. Can’t wait to be back to classes in person, but thankful for technology, this is definitely a blessing.

With dynamic music and exercise, you wil burn fat and achieve a whole different level of confidence.

7:20 PM - 7:50 PM Senka Te Karate Do
Traditional self-defense martial arts.The meaning of Senka Te Karate Do is “empty hands, ready for war.” The Senka Te system draws from the Japanese words of Keiko Shoukon, meaning “reflect on the old to understand the new.”

7:55 PM - 8:25 PM Muay Thai
Thailand fighting arts. This system can be applied to professional fighters, street self-defense or the average person wanting to get in the best shape of their life. Our school is a proud member of the World Muay Thai Alliance.
Our martial arts lineage traces straight back to Thailand and our Grand Master Thohsaphol Sitiwatjana, known around the world as "Master Toddy."

Due to the Martin Luther King Holiday, school is closed tomorrow, so there is no UKC Kids Karate class.

However; we encourage you, if you are able, to bring your child to our evening class on Tuesday. PARENTS CAN PARTICIPATE TOO! Come and workout with your child, we would love to have you.

This class is held at Northside Community Center, off of Bannerman and Meridian Road. The address is 8005 Oak Grove Road.

The workout begins at 6:45 PM. Karate follows this class at 7:15. If you're going to come, be sure to get there early to be ready to go by 6:45; we have other classes going before this, so you are welcome to observe.

Congratulations to our Christ Classical Academy UKC Students, who all tested today and advanced in rank! They were all ready and made us proud.

We also had our Christmas party!

This was our final class of the year, we want to wish all of our students and supporters a very Merry Christmas!

Today was TESTING Day and Christmas Party combined at NFC! It was a great, but chaotic day. We have some photos of the party, but will add photos of the kids with their new belts after Christmas. Awesome job, everyone passed!

There are no classes this week, but we are thankful for you and wish you a blessed Thanksgiving.
