Happy ! Meet the fluffy friends of our team. Read their biographies below!

Bass and Treble Denslow, adopted by Danae Denslow, are 4 year old litter mates from the Leon County Humane Society. The sisters stay true to their namesakes; Treble is a very sweet, high-energy, trouble maker, while Bass is a very laid back, easy going cat. They love to chase each other around the house and cuddle together whenever they’re home alone!

Daisy is an adorable 4 month old American Bulldog/Lab mix. She was adopted by Terri Johnson from the Franklin Co. Humane Society in April 2022. She is ALL PUPPY!

Roman, Melodie Gardner's 'fur nephew', is a 7 year-old mini Australian Shepard. His likes are: t-r-e-a-t-s, catch, ninja kiss attacks, and his Peoples. Dislikes: that one squirrel getting on his porch, not being allowed on the bed, and anyone who isn't one of his Peoples!

Ollie and Boscoe are guinea pig brothers that likely hold the souls of spoiled Victorian children. They reside as a monarchy in Chloe Crist's house. If they aren't "pop-corning" around their enclosure to the sound of anything that crinkles (like their delicious timothy hay), they're sleeping with their eyes wide open or annoying each other!

Cyrus Rosasco is 2.5 years old, adopted and spoiled by Robyn Rosasco. Likes: food, toys, general mischief, novel people/things. Dislikes: closed doors, withholding food. Thinks he owns the place just because he wears a tuxedo.

Did you know you can check out standing desks from ? Visit the library office to check one out!

October 24 is Senior UTI awareness day. It is crucial to prioritize the well-being of our elderly population by addressing the issue of urinary tract infections (UTIs). Senior UTIs are common and can lead to serious health complications if not detected and treated promptly. To help combat this problem, the FSU Medical Library offers valuable resources for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of UTIs in older adults.

Identifying the symptoms of UTIs in seniors is a key challenge in geriatric care. Elderly individuals may not exhibit typical signs of a UTI, so healthcare providers and caregivers need to be aware of atypical symptoms such as confusion, agitation, increased falls, and decline in functional status. Recognizing these indicators allows for timely interventions and prevents the progression of the infection.
