Happy Earth Day!! For Earth Day Preschool/VPK decided to talk about different things we could do to make the Earth a better place.

Our beautiful Amaryllis are blooming just like our children here at SYC!

Great morning and fun we had for the Ability1st "Rock, Roll, Run" event!

We had a wonderful day at SYC.... with butterflies and Praying Mantis hatching!!! Kids were excited to see the hatchings come out....All was going great until Carter, Peter, and Mateo came to Ms. Jamileh and asked her if she could tell if their Praying Mantis were boys or girls! That's when she was speechless for few seconds before she recovered to say, "that is a great question, but I don't know the answer to that. They are too tiny for me to tell if they are boys or girls". Not a boring moment at SYC...LOL.

Veronica was proud of her awesome work reaching one of her milestones and Chase was right there to cheer her own!

Weekend Fun!!

Trying hard to move sand! A lot of brain and muscles are used to accomplish this task!

Last month, this was given to SYC by one of our former families!!!! Dane, who should be now in his teens, fed the bunny daily and Lisa, the mom who is a vet, trimmed the bunny's nails and took him to their home when we were closed. So sweet and nice to see the many positive impact of something as simple as feeding a bunny. BTY, the bunny was white then. We miss Dane, Lisa, and Tom.

We love the holidays here at SYC!

We had a wonderful time kicking off the fall season at the farm. We were even able to paint a horse! Thank you to our families that came!

Our tomato garden is flourishing!! The hybrid and cherry tomatoes were ready to be harvested today so we picked them, cleaned them, and ate them all up. Yum!

From caterpillars to butterflies, these little creatures grew right before our eyes. Today, we released them!

There is nothing like sitting under a tree watching birds come and go to the bird feeder!

Celebrating Black History Month: Read the Shades of People book today-- "In the world there's black and white and everything in-between". Proud of who we are at SYC!

Happy President's Day!!! At SYC, we celebrated this day by eating vegan cherry pies (yummy) and planting a cherry tree in honor of President George Washington. How did you celebrate yours!
