Math Fun Day 2022 Update:
The Department Mathematics has decided postpone Math Fun Day for another year due to the evolving Covid situation. We are going through a period involving lots of uncertainty and since the event involves kids with lots of hands-on activities that are difficulty to sanitize, we thought it would be safest to postpone it a year.
We thank the community for their understanding and look forward to seeing you next year!

Congratulations to the Director of Math Fun Day, Dr. Monica Hurdal!
Meet Dr. Monica Hurdal , 2019 , mathematician, pioneer, troop leader with Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle, believer in perseverance and the power of encouragement. As the only woman who holds full professorship in Florida State University's Dept of Mathematics, Monica is using math to blaze trails in neuroscience that enhance the potential for disease diagnosis and prevention. Her research in brain mapping is putting Tallahassee on the global map in the new field of bio-mathematics. We are excited to celebrate her and the potential for women and girls in STEM at the Women's History Month Luncheon on Friday, March 8th. Get your tickets and meet this amazing woman!
