Played in the dirt.
Learned the word empathy.
Read books about kindness.
Painted everything. Yoga’d
Giggled together. Made connections.
Smiled at each of them every morning and asked how they felt.
Held hands, skipped.
Dried tears, gave lots of hugs and piggy back rides.
Heard their stories, feelings and tried my hardest to make them feel cared about.
