Renaissance Academy Renaissance Academy is a tuition-free public charter school located in Tallahassee, FL. Located at 4351 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317.

Governors Charter Academy is a tuition-free public charter school educating students in grades K-8 who reside in Florida. We are now enrolling for 2020-21 school year & we are prepared to educate students at school & at home. Take another look at how we’re preparing students for success. Educational Programs We Offer:
• Cambridge Program: an international, pre-university curriculum & examination system
that emphasizes the value of a broad & balanced study for academically able students.
• Leader In Me: empowers students with leadership & life skills using Steven Covey’s  7 Habits of Highly Effective People Program.
• Acceleration Opportunities available in Algebra 1 & Geometry with High School credit. Active Middle Programs:
Marching Band – Award Winning “Best Band” Springtime Tallahassee, 2017, Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Track. Clubs/ Extra-Curricular Activities Including:
Art Club, 21st Century, Before and After care at a minimal cost.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our students, families, staff, and community.

The past two years have been filled with growth, challenges, accomplishments, and memories that I will carry with me forever. It has truly been an honor to serve as principal of this incredible school, and I am so proud of everything our students and staff have achieved together.

Closing the doors is undoubtedly bittersweet. There is sadness in saying goodbye, but also great pride in the work we’ve done and the impact we’ve made.

To our families—thank you for trusting us with your children. To our students—thank you for your spirit, your hard work, and your joy. And to our staff—thank you for showing up with heart, with purpose, and with unwavering commitment to excellence.

As we each move on to new places and new beginnings, I wish every one of you continued success and happiness. Renaissance Academy may be closing, but the legacy of this special community will live on in each of us.
