I put together the new bookcase last night for our Curriculum Corner & I love it so much 🥰

Late Post... but on the first day of Spring, we identified different flowers in our backyard. We were surprised by how many different ones we found!

I'm terrible at remembering to take photos while we are learning. 😅 but the kids have been loving homeschool so much.

This week we are learning about Microorganisms & testing out our new microscope, People in Our Community and different Career paths, Different types of Verbs, and working on the building blocks for multiplication in Math!

🐉 Today we learned about Lunar New Year & made lantern crafts, then we learned all about cicadas and the rare 2024 cicadas event coming up!

It's the first day of - so we are learning all about Ruby Bridges!

We are watching Homeschool POP videos on Ruby, working on a fact-craft, and watching the Disney+ Ruby Bridges movie for history/social studies.

Today for Science & Art - We learned about galaxies, constellations, and made galaxy paintings! 🌌🪐

➕️ Lucas is using Demme Learning Math-U-See Beta for his Math Curriculum this year, and it's absolutely perfect for his learning style! It comes with learning videos, an instructional book for the Teacher, a workbook for him and a big box of Math Cubes to work out his problems visually. Lucas is amazing at Math, but does a lot better when he can see what he's trying to calculate physically in front of him instead of just on paper.

This is the beautiful thing about homeschooling, in my opinion... the ability to individually cater my children’s curriculum to their needs, instead of them trying to be forced into a box to meet the needs of the average student. Both of them are much more excited about learning and it makes me a proud parent to see.

Homeschooling isn't for everyone, but it's perfect for us. 💚
