What a fantastic first week of Summer Intensives! ☀️🩰
This week, our dancers had the incredible opportunity to learn from guest artists Eduard Forehand (Ballet) and Ebone Camille Amos (Contemporary & Jazz), who challenged and inspired them throughout the week.
We wrapped up the intensive with a studio showing today, giving students the chance to share all they accomplished. We are so proud of every dancer for embracing new ideas, stepping outside their comfort zones, and rising to the challenges presented. The growth, dedication, and artistry displayed this week were truly remarkable.
Thank you to our guest faculty for sharing their expertise and passion, and congratulations to our dancers on an outstanding start to the summer!

“People do not fall in love with a community because it balances spreadsheets better than everyone else, or because its programs have a strong ROI. They fall in love with communities that have character, energy, and soul.”

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Marianne Brooks, a longtime supporter, our Guild chair for several years, and the most energetic volunteer and lover of the ballet. Marianne’s kindness and dedication to the arts and specifically TTB touched our ballet family for many years. Her connection to our organization ran especially deep through her daughter, who grew up both in our school, dancing in our company, and now instructor in our school for many years.

We know many in our community held Marianne close, and those who wish to pay their respects are invited to attend her service this Friday. We ask that you please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

We have established The Marianne Brooks Memorial Fund in honor of her commitment, volunteerism, and vibrancy that exuded from her every time she stepped foot in The Tallahassee Ballet. Her love for the arts and support of our dancers will always be remembered. https://www.tallahasseeballet.org/mariannebrooks
