All throughout the month of February we will be spotlighting stories. To kick it off we have a short and sweet (some might call it economical 😎 ) love story from two FSU Economics grads!

Sheridan(B.S. ’20, M.S. ’22) and Zach (B.S. ’20, M.S. ’22) met in the FSU Applied Economics Master's Program in the Fall of 2021. Sheridan wrote in to tell us their story, “The program is pretty small so we spent every day together for almost a year and fell in love. Since we met in the Bellamy building, my husband Zach proposed to me outside of it in June 2023. Legacy Walk is also my favorite spot on campus, which is why he picked that side of the building to propose on. It was so sweet & I love that Bellamy is the backdrop for our special moment. We even invited the director of our master's program to our wedding (along with a bunch of our former classmates!).”

These two are as cute as can be! ♥️ If you and your Valentine are or just FSU superfans, cement your FSU love story with a Westcott Plaza brick. To celebrate all our Seminole love stories, we are offering a special discount through 2/14, save $100 when you purchase through this link: gonol.es/sweetheartbrick

“Dr. Isaac is one of our very best faculty members, and I’m so pleased to see him receive this well-deserved honor,” said Tim Chapin, Ph.D., dean of the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy. “His research has shaped the field for many decades, and his commitment to serving the greater academic community through the Economic Science Association is admirable.”
