Good News! Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare has updated the policy regarding support people in Labor and Delivery! Moms can now have two support people + a doula who's considered part of the care team! You can find the updated policy here: https://www.tmh.org/coronavirus/patients-and-visitors

We have some space open for our December Online Childbirth Class! This is a live online experience with our education, Melissa and are interactive, educational, and a little FUN. One of the great outcomes of live online learning is that people can login from ANYWHERE!

Last weekend we had an awesome surprise in our childbirth class. This lovely lady is expecting her second baby, ten years after her first and we got to have her in class for the second time (ten years apart)! In January, I had the pleasure of facilitating a weekend childbirth class with eleven couples who were working to . In one of our opening activities, it was revealed that we had 10 couples expecting a baby girl and one couple waiting to be surprised!

Today, I got to facetime with our surprise couple, class participants Jeremy and Jenna who were celebrating the birth of their new DAUGHTER!!! A full class of ALL girls!! Congratulations on your new baby girl Jeremy and Jenna!

We are sad to share that due to an unexpected death of a of loved one dear to our family, we will be postponing this weekends (3/1-3/2) childbirth class for a few weeks. The new class dates for March are 3/22-3/23. I want to thank our registered students for your warmth and understanding today when we shared the news. Thank you. ❤️

Securing children in properly size and age appropriate car seats is the most effective thing you can do to protect your child in the event of a crash. On Wednesday, November 7, from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m., Leon County EMS is hosting a car seat checkpoint at the Public Safety Complex at 911 Easterwood Dr. (use the Weems Rd. entrance).

The event is by appointment only. Please call (850) 606-2100 to schedule your appointment. EMS will have certified child passenger seat technicians available to make sure your children ride as safely as possible -every trip, every time!
