Originally established in 2016 in Arizona, Baby Fox has two locations in Sarasota & LWR , Florida. Providing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate education to children is a top priority for Baby Fox Academy. Your child will be afforded a sound educational environment where play-based learning connects to developmentally appropriate practice. Our high quality early learning program provides
children opportunities to develop and explore all four domains of developmentally-appropriate practice: cognitive, language & literacy, physical & social emotional. Children in our program ARE creating, moving, singing, discussing, observing, reading and playing. At BFA children are NOT expected to sit still and be quiet 24-7. They won't be doing worksheets, workbooks or drill & kill flashcards. Research tells us that these are not appropriate expectations for young children. Children here will be seen gathered around books, tinker tubs and sensory bins, not screens. You will see teachers modeling problem solving techniques and redirecting when necessary. You will see loose parts, engaging equipment and readily available materials. Children can get lost in curiosity and will spend their days surrounded by discovery and wonder as they will be engaged in playful learning. We ARE preparing children for school, but we are NOT a boot camp for Kindergarten. You will feel safe & secure knowing you can check on your child via real time, password protected SECURITY CAMERAS. This service is available anytime during the day right from your smart phone or desktop computer via Watch Me Grow. Another major SECURITY FEATURE is the digital lock access provided so parents can come and go freely using their own personal access code. Most of all, your child will spend their days doing what kids do best....just being a kid. Baby Fox Academy is owned and operated by Laurie & Matt McCracken. Laurie has 25+ years early childhood teaching experience, which includes directing several preschools. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree In Early Literacy both from Nova Southeastern University and has bee a certified teacher is Florida, Nevada and Arizona. Laurie's certifications include a Reading Endorsement & ESL Endorsement. While teaching for over 25 years, she has specialized in literacy remediation, behavior modification and individualized instruction. This means Laurie has been developing custom learning paths for young students with maximum results for many years. Laurie has also served as a trainer of teachers for various school districts across the United States. Matt has a background in Business Management and Finance. He has successfully relaunched multiple brands over the last 20 years by retraining sales and management staff with stellar results. Sales and Marketing are his expertise. Together Matt and Laurie have seven children, ages 25 to 6 years of age. All young-adult girls and the youngest being a boy. It is this youngest (only boy), who has inspired the opening of Baby Fox Academy.
