It's been a long 6 days & our boys have been stressed out. We took them to Pet Smart explore all the smells and pick out a toy or treat. Giovanni fell in love with a $20 mallard duck, while Luigi was happy as can be with a $1 dehydrated chicken foot.
I am so proud of my daughter, always have been and always will be! She lives in an area hit hard by Helene. She came home to see us today... she won't have power until sometime in October. We boxed up food to take with her. She got home & payed it forward by filling hungry bellies of those she encountered.

Venison meatballs gently nestled in a caramelized Vidalia onion creme sauce.
NOTE: Considering venison is so lean and can be tough, I cut in small pieces of chilled butter and seared them in a cast iron skillet before baking to ensure they remain juicy and tender.
