Students from the School of Theatre's Performance Art class staged live performances at the Museum of Fine Arts in March as part of a class assignment. Each student presented a unique 5-10 minute piece inspired by the MOFA space and the history of performance art.

The class created this group artist statement: “Grounded in the history of museum performance art, we staged pieces in the Museum of Fine Arts to explore the relationships between spectator and artist, art object and art subject, performer and space. Even though we all had the same assignment, each piece showcased the artist’s own unique perspective and voice. The assignment challenged us to think beyond the conventions of traditional theatrical space. This manifested into the diverse set of pieces displayed here.”
