! Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our School of Theatre Community!
Keith Traver, (BA Theatre ’10) has been named the next Director of Education for Orlando Shakespeare Theatre. Recent projects include directing the Central Florida premiere of Rockefeller Studios’ "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show" in Fall 2025, launching the The Young Company Alumni Show as a fundraiser for the education department in July 2025, and writing and directing "Cracking Open a Cold One" for New Generation Theatrical, which premiered in early March 2026.
Casey Sammarco, (Director of BFA Stage Management Program, Associate Professor) has received the Developing Specialized Faculty Grant from the FSU Council on Research and Creativity. This award will support her research on effective stage management communication during the 2026–27 academic year.
Aaron C. Thomas, (Director of BA Theatre Program, Associate Professor) was recognized with an FSU Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award for his excellence in graduate education for the 25-26 academic year.
Ramone Nelson, (BFA Music Theatre ’21) made his Broadway principal debut as Anatoly in "Chess the Musical" on March 31, 2026, performing alongside Broadway legends Aaron Tveit and Lea Michele.
