This Valentine’s Day, more than 150 senior citizens in Tallahassee felt a little extra love thanks to the helping hands of FSU students.

Service is at the heart of what we do, and we’re thankful to provide students with opportunities to give back and spread kindness where it matters most.

Emily Porter, program coordinator for Student Organizations and Involvement, was recognized as January's Employee of the Month in the FSU Division of Student Affairs.

Emily advises three major campus philanthropies, Dance Marathon at FSU, Relay For Life of FSU, and The Big Event Tallahassee, where her impact reaches hundreds, if not thousands, of students each semester. Thank you for all you do, and congratulations, Emily!

The nomination period for Leadership Awards Night is open through Feb. 27. This program recognizes students, RSOs, or FSU employees who exemplify leadership through achievement, service, and organizational involvement at Florida State University.
