While on our FSU tour, our group ran into Ethan Pritchard. This young man has faced a huge challenge in his life and is still showing up and working through this adversity.

Our group was so excited to meet him. Paul was lucky to get his picture made with Ethan.

Florida State Seminoles Football

We enjoyed our visit to the brand new Florida State Seminoles Football facility and stadium. We are so grateful for Jason Baisden who embraces us and leads the tour for us. He answers all of our questions (there’s a lot) and makes sure that we have a very memorable experience!!

A couple games of Bingo helped the students in the Independent Living pathway demonstrate their knowledge of skills that are necessary to keep their homes clean and skills that they need to be independent with their hygiene.

The STEM elective enjoyed creating various structures. It was cool to watch them work together and to come up with their designs.

The Career Pathway students enjoyed another day of work tasks centered on clerical work.

Our on campus Culinary Pathway has been learning and practicing their culinary skills. They are preparing to take the Safe Staff Food Handler Certification exam next week.

As stated last week, we are very grateful for this group of students and teachers!

Our Career Exploration Pathway put their skills into practice this week with Mock Interviews! They developed their resumes, practiced sharing about themselves and answering interview questions in weeks 1-3.

These young adults rocked their mock interviews!! We are super proud of them!

Thank you to Chris Leynes, Jinger Deason, Ashley Cavallo with Leon County Schools and Chris Reece with FDLRS Miccosukee for interviewing our students! Your assistance provided our students with an authentic experience.

If you were looking for us for Week 3’s social event, you would have found us at Fun Station! This is a new event for us and we are thankful for Fun Station’s willingness to have us! They were wonderful hosts!
