Be honest, you reuse passwords. Most people do. That’s why 81% of breaches happen. Passkeys are changing that. No passwords to remember or steal—just your device + Face ID or Fingerprint.
Faster, safer, and already used by companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. It might be time to make the switch.

Beware of Dead Tech

Step 1: Check if it’s Still Supported

Start at endoflife.date. It shows support timelines for thousands of products, not just tech. If the device you’re holding is unsupported or close to end of life, walk away.

Step 2: Look at the Generation

If the current model online is Gen 5 and yours is Gen 1 or Gen 2, it’s probably already lost support—or will soon.

Step 3: Check the App

Search for the device’s companion app in the app store and look at the update history. An update within the last six months is a good sign. If the last update was in 2023, that’s a red flag.

Step 4: Watch Deep Discounts

A smart home gadget marked down more than 70% usually isn’t a steal—it’s a clearance for a product on its way out.

Saving a few dollars is nice. Buying something that stops working right away isn’t.
