We are delighted to announce that Dr. Aaron Walker has been appointed as the new interim Program Director for the TMH Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Walker's enthusiasm and motivation will be invaluable assets to the program as we work towards having him as the permanent Program Director in the near future.

A special thank you to Drs. Weise-Rometsch and Hamad for generously volunteering to provide mentorship to Dr. Walker as he transitions into this new role. Your support is truly appreciated.

Dr. Richardson shares three stages of Backward Design (Understanding by Design-Wiggins & McTighe) while dealing with the “tyranny of content.”

Dr. Van Durme was a driving force behind the establishment of the PrimaryHealth Clinic with the goal of improving access to quality healthcare in our community.

At the Florida State University College of Medicine, we are advancing children’s health in rural communities via the Center for Child Stress & Health. The Center provides resources to families and health care providers related to the treatment and prevention of toxic stress during childhood. We are thrilled today to partner with to underscore the need to improve health care for patients living in rural communities.

Teaching hospitals & health systems and medical schools serve unique and vital roles in rural communities, bringing care to underserved and often under-resourced areas. Congress, pls increase the # of available Medicare-supported medical residency positions to ensure more doctors can serve rural areas
