It's been a great two weeks of band camp here with our friends from Deerlake, Swift Creek, and Fairview. Our kids were able to participate in:
-small group performance
-percussion ensemble
-pep band
-conducting
-all state prep
-games
-lots of snacks
And of course make music all together as a band! We also added a jazz track to our camp this year which was led by Dr. Douty from Fairview. A great two weeks of learning and improving. Have a great summer everyone!

Today, the MMS band (with some friends from Deerlake, Swift Creek, and Fairview) finished week 1 of band camp. 60 students all came together to form two bands who have never played together before! We had a very exciting week filled with new music, fun games, great snacks, and today, an awesome concert. Week 2 starts on Monday so get ready for "Tales from the Sea" and come hear our next concert Thursday at noon in the Montford cafeteria.
