Did you know that commercial photographers are some of the best paid photographers in the photography business? In fact, commercial photography is a career option for all art school photography graduates. Commercial photography can include advertisement work, fashion, real estate, or even landscape shoots.

Although Vincent Van Gogh is known mostly for his paintings, he worked many other jobs before finding his vocation. His earlier jobs included working at an art gallery, a school, a bookstore, and as a preacher.

Well, who doesn’t know about Pablo Picasso - one of the most influential and dominant artists of in the history of art! Interestingly, he learned to draw before he learned to walk.

Pablo Picasso, in his technique called Cubism, tried to show the dimensions of the objects he painted. When painting in classical style, his shapes were round and soft. In Cubism, the shapes were square and hard.

Part-Time Art Teacher/s Needed
The Brush & Palette Art Studio is hiring one or two teachers
who love art and have some experience working with children.
Both positions together require working 10 hours per week,
from 3:00-6:15pm Tues., Wed and TH. Typically these are both
taught by the same teacher.
Applicants for either position must be 18 years of age or older and
have experience working with children and have basic drawing and/or oil painting skills.
The Brush & Palette has been teaching art in Tallahassee for over 45 years and is a fun and creative place to work. This is great experience for anyone in the Art Education Department at Florida State University.
We need a minimum commitment of one school year.

Dirty Pour Workshop
Join us for an afternoon and learn a variety of Dirty Pour Techniques. Each student will leave with a clear knowledge of the art of Dirty Pour and a finished canvas. Space is limited.
Fee $45
Thursday June 17th from 3:30 pm-5 pm.

Pet Portrait
This workshop is open to children and/or parents and absolutely no experience is required. Learn how to capture your pet's likeness in paint and leave with something you can cherish forever!

Mosaic Tiling
Join us for an afternoon of Mosaic Tiling. Each student will
design their own mosaic.
They will also learn how to cut, glue and grout tile.

Children's Homeschool Mixed Media Art Class
This class is designed for children age six-12 who are available during the standard school day. Children will focus on drawing, painting, sculpture and collage.
