Finally, we also had a special Spooky Lit Lab set up by our technology specialist, Jessica. It had all the Halloween things you could want: a scary witch to greet you, spooky sound toys, jack o' lanterns giving a nice glow, and voice output devices which each classroom programmed with spooky sounds. Our students and staff loved it!
We had our annual Halloween Dance yesterday also! There was a pretty good turn out of costumes from both students and staff. Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out and helped. We had a photo booth, art activities, tattoos, sensory boxes, and snacks for the students to enjoy. It was a spooky great time!
We had lots of fun activities yesterday! First up was the Trunk-or-Treat. Thank you to the ACE Transition program's staff and students who brought goodies for our Everhart students to enjoy! Principal Jane got into the fun by also bringing some treats :)
We had lots of fun today with Trunk or Treat, a dance and the great costumes! Our Transition students had a great theme! More pictures to come! Happy "Owloween"!
Thank you to the Sunshine Committee and our Transition students who delivered fall treats to each of our hard working staff members. We truly enjoyed the special treats and are glad it helped our students with their communication and work skills!
A BIG Thank you to Janice Papy and Elaine Marchant for the wonderful new bibs for our students! They are beautiful and will be well used. Thank you to their Talquin Electric TLA Team Leadership Group for choosing this as their project to help the community!
We APPRECIATE our "Owlmazing" Bus Staff! We hosted a Grab and Go Breakfast in their honor during National School Bus Safety Week to let them know in a small way how much they are appreciated!
Congratulations to Alyssa Taylor who is Gretchen Everhart's Teacher of the Year! We LOVE Alyssa who serves all of the students at the school as our wonderful and talented music teacher / therapist. We are so lucky to have her and she helps out EVERYWHERE! Congratulations! Alyssa Taylor is "Owlmazing"!

We had a great day at our Special Olympics Unity Day and on the same day we wore BLUE for Anti-Bullying! Thank you to Vicky Droze, the Pyramid Band and the volunteers from FSU. We were able to play games, dance to the music and enjoy popcorn!
We celebrated Unity Day yesterday and it was a blast! The amazing Pyramid band, The Electric People, came to play for our students. It's always a fun time when they visit! We stayed outside in the gorgeous weather to listen to music and play games. Thank you to the FSU Best Buddies-Special Olympics chapter who came out and thank you to The Electric People too!
Proud of our Transition students who stock and monitor the vending machines for the school. Keep up the good work learning valuable job skills!
We hope our students are getting their costumes together for the Halloween dance (10/31) because our spooky backdrop is picture ready!
We need your help in showing our appreciation for staff. Please help us if you can!
