Ergonomics Presentation for AFC Region V

Mind Your Spine – Mind Your Mind
Creating an Energizing Ergonomic Workspace

Our daily energy is influenced by many factors. Our work habits and the way we set up our workspaces affect our physical health and mental well-being. This session shares creative ways to modify your workstation to be ergonomically correct, which can reduce muscle tension, improve posture, and promote productivity. Simple suggestions will be provided for breaks that are surprisingly refreshing, so you can move through your workdays with vitality. You’ll find that a workspace that fits you, along with small actions daily, can have a major impact on how you feel and function!

Presenter:

Please join Region V for Teaching and Learning with Compassion in the Classroom and Beyond: A Book Discussion on Compassionomics

In this book discussion, participants will explore "Compassionomics"- the revolutionary scientific evidence that human connection matters. Multiple research sources point out that empathy and compassion are key to success in the world of health care, but these attributes are also relevant in our everyday lives. Compassion not only can save lives, but it can also improve relationships and ensure organizational success. Join us to examine how this has been documented in the health care industry and discuss how it can be relevant to us in higher education.
