Thank you Michael! We are looking forward to having you teach again!
Last week, I completed teaching my three-week online course, “Disney’s Animation Renaissance,” for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida State University.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a scholarly program tailored for adults who love learning in an stress-free, non-matriculated (no tests, no homework) environment. It was so rewarding to share stories about Disney animation in the 1990s with students, including insight into the artists who created the films and how the decade was such a pivotal time in Disney's history.
Thank you to The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for this opportunity, my good friend Greg for the referral, and my wife, Michelle, who covertly captured a picture of me teaching.
I am also grateful that I will return to teach a new class in the Spring of 2025!

Due to the threat of severe weather and its potential impact on the region, Florida State University’s Tallahassee campuses, including OLLI at FSU, will be closed for business operations from 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday, September 25, until 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 29. Please stay safe!
Music For Food Tallahassee is excited to kick off its 2024-25 season with the first concert, “All in the Family,” on Sunday, October 6 at 4pm at Grace Lutheran Church. This is the first of four programs this year, and they hope the community will join them for great music and to help fight hunger.
The concert features the talents of siblings Felix and F***y Mendelssohn, including string quartets and F***y’s song “Italien.” Performers include Kristina Nilsson, Caroline Holden, Melissa Brewer, Zlatina Staykova, Carla Connors, Tim Hoekman, Corinne Stillwell, Megumi Terry, Miriam Tellechea, and Mitchell George.
Music For Food Tallahassee is an all-volunteer initiative. The concert is free, but they will collect non-perishable food and monetary donations for the FSU Food for Thought Pantry. Suggested donation is $20/adult, $5/student. Donations may be made by cash, check payable to the FSU Foundation, or online at https://dsst.fsu.edu/foodpantry.
Please spread the word and join them for an afternoon of music to nourish the soul and help collect food to nourish the community.
