Has your school renewed its FSMA membership? The deadline for dues payments is September 15. FSMA membership is required for schools that wish to participate in state recognized interscholastic music activities, which include music performance assessments for large ensembles and for solo-ensemble events. FSMA Join or Renew New schools who have never been a member of FSMA before should complete the New School Enrollment Form and mail to the FSMA office. If the school is not included in a county-wide group discount payment, a check for the dues amount should be mailed with the form.

The national Arts ARE Education campaign is hosting Arts Education for All Students in 2022-23 on Sept. 12 from 5-6:30 p.m. EDT. This virtual town hall is for educators, students, school leaders, policymakers, service organizations and arts education advocates. This meeting will include a discussion about the issues, concerns and outlook for K-12 arts education. Attendees will also learn about the campaign’s new calls-to-action, tools and resources, as well as how to get involved with supporting arts education in your school, district and state.
