We are excited to introduce, Kim Kowakowski, J.M. Spring 2024 alumn to the Juris Master Community! Kim is currently the Manager for Provider Contracting & Credentialing at Health First Health Plans.

"I consider myself a late bloomer. I married and had children later in life. I also began and finished my bachelor’s degree later than most. However, it truly is never too late - I believe - for education. Education has a place at whatever stage of life you are in.

With 30 years of experience as a paralegal, I had transitioned into contracting and credentialing in the health insurance world. I was excited at the opportunity to attend Florida State University’s Juris Master Program with a focus in Legal Risk Management, Contracting, and Compliance, knowing that I could strengthen my current knowledge with the specialized legal knowledge and skills learned through the program. I know that the knowledge and skill learned will benefit me in any position I choose to pursue in the future."
