Enrollment is now open until June 2 for a FREE 12-week summer training program to be held in Oxford in the fields of commercial carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.

🧰These classes are open to any adult 18+ at NO COST thanks to a grant from the Alabama Construction Industry Craft Training Board - CICT.

🪚Mandatory orientation will be held June 17.

🛠️Classes begin July 8, and will be 2 evenings a week from 5:15pm-8:30pm. Nights are based on instructor availability, and will be either M/W or Tu/Thu.

📍Classes will be held at the Create Technology and Innovation Center
1 Cliff Garrett Dr. Oxford, AL 36203.

🛠️Registering does not guarantee a spot in a class. You will be notified via the email you provide by June 10 if you are accepted.

🧰Each class is limited to 15 students.

Yesterday Salter got to enjoy Career Day! So many wonderful volunteer guests came to speak to our students about their Career and/or business. We also had some parents and others who came to read and share with different classrooms. My favorite guests may have been the Talladega College Women’s Gymnastics Team! I enjoyed hearing from the ladies and seeing the smiles on our 2nd graders faces! THANK YOU to Everyone who came!!

This month we are talking about the Pursuit of Excellence, or having a Growth Mindset. This week we are listening to “Giraffes Can’t Dance” and learning that we can do anything we set our hearts and minds on as long as we stay positive, keeping practicing, and don’t listen to others who try to bring you down.
