Gravity Glass Studio specializes in glass art made in a kiln. Owned by Jon Lickerman, the Studio opened under his leadership in July 2015.
We are a professional "warm" glass studio offering programs for Adults and Teens in the Silver Spring/Takoma Park communities. The Studio assumed the location previously held by Kari MInnick Art Glass Studio. Jon co-founded the Teen Glass Guild with Kari Minnick in 2010. I've recently started working out of the coldshop at Pilchuck Glass School. I can commute from Bellingham! What an amazing place. And great staff. I feel so fortunate to have Pilchuck in my backyard... And a bit different than Corning, where I worked for many years.

Glad to be participating in the Schack Art Center holiday show In Everett. A great art center! I'm discovering a lot about our new home on the west coast.

We have officially re-located to Bellingham! We left Takoma Park and longtime friends, via our car to Chicago. Diane then flew to Bellingham and met the arriving moving van. I took the well traveled solo cross country drive. My 7th time doing these travels in 9 years. This time it's one way.

The big move. After 33 years Diane and I are saying farewell to Takoma Park. Packing the studio after 25 years was a major undertaking. Ben came home to help us. Soon we'll be a mere hour away from him in Vancouver BC. Now we're off to Bellingham Washington!

Recently I spent a week at the Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass. My last biannual session! A wonderful community. I will miss it dearly.
