Tahoe Dance School was founded by Molly Story Arbogast in 1993 where the school’s modest beginning started in a small room under her garage. The school flourished and moved to Incline Village Recreation Center and the Lake Forest Creative Center , Tahoe City. Our Spring performance at Truckee Regional Park Amphitheater Sunday June 6th was a day to remember! All dancers without masks - you could see the joy on their faces! The wind sent our stage sets flying and the next day you could tell who had forgotten their sunscreen but even the youngest dancers took it in their stride and we all enjoyed a very special day.

Sunday June 6th 1pm Show "Stories" features the younger members of Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and Acro. As always we present "A Look In To The Future" ballet performed by senior dancers. Our closing number is one of our award winning dances from Tahoe Dance Competition Team "Seussical "The Musical" The cutest show in town! it is approx 45 mins. Perfect for younger audience members whilst still appealing to all ages. Bring a blanket to sit and watch outdoors without a mask!
Dance To The Beat 3pm and 6pm is a fast paced, upbeat presentation of Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro plus all the award winning routines from our 2021 Competition Team. It has been 18 months since the last in person performance so we added a ballet to complete the variety. Dancers will not wear masks as this is outside.
Not to be missed! Bring a blanket and enjoy this wonderful presentation that brings us to 25 years of dance in the Tahoe Community.

Our last competition of the season and our large group "Abracadabra" took first place in their category. Last month in Sacramento they received the judges award for MOST ENTERTAINING and this time around the judges award for FUN FUN FUN along with their trophy. Acro Team took 6th overall in their category and Jazz/Funk took 5th overall in theirs. Many high scores for our soloists and Tap group.
Congratulations to all the girls, and their teachers Marla and Lisa. Great way to finish up our season but it is not the end - come see them dance in our SPRING PERFORMANCE "THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT" JUNE 1st and 2nd, at NTHS Theater, along with all the students from Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Acro of TAHOE DANCE SCHOOL.

Congratulations to our 2018-2019 Competition team who have now competed at their
first two competitions for the season. Both were held in Carson City and the girls enjoyed
the feeling of success on both occasions. We have six returning members and twelve who have never competed before. In fact, most of the new members had never been to a competition before this year.
Hanna and Anabelle, who earned their first solos this year, are reaping the rewards of their hard work. Both received recognition from the judges on Saturday, and in addition to high scores all around our new Acro team took 1st place in their division. Wow!
Have to mention Marla and Lisa, our dedicated teachers/choreographers plus all the parents. Early mornings, late nights, long drives………..together we all make a bunch of hard work into a lot of great fun. Well done team!

Our Winter performance is perfect for the season. Two fun, light hearted story ballets - "Tannenbaum" and "The Ice Skaters"
Friday Dec 7th at 7pm and Saturday at 5pm. The program is an hour & half including intermission with bake sale goodies.

Don't miss Tahoe Dance annual winter performance at North Tahoe High Theater. Graduating seniors Chelsea Austin, Sage Quinn and Bryce Walsh perform in "Precious Jewels" with Alex Schwartz and members of Tahoe Dance School. Kacey Benjaminson, Shaine Hirsh, Kate Gaffney,Elsa Kallmes, Annie Kratz, Ava Murphy, Claire Roberts and Lucia Vail dance lead roles in "The Toy Shop" a wonderful holiday program all members of the community can enjoy!
