NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry

The Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree is based on the NSU Tahlequah campus.

The program is four years of intensive doctoral-level training that prepares students to become effective members of a comprehensive health care team. The Optometric Physician has been trained to diagnose and treat a wide-variety of eye and vision problems at the primary care level. What an exciting few days at our Optometry Exploration Summer Camp!👓✨

We loved welcoming such a bright group of students and sharing the world of optometry with them. One of the best parts of the week was seeing campers engaged, asking questions, and getting excited about what they were learning through hands on activities and experiences.

Thank you to all of our campers for making this week so much fun. We hope to see some future optometrists in this group!

Honoring the Optometry Class of 2026! 🎓👓

On May 8, 2026, we had the privilege of celebrating this milestone and recognizing all of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that led up to graduation day.
Special thanks to Dr. Carl Spear for delivering such meaningful and encouraging words to our graduates. We also appreciate Dr. Jason Rhynes, President of OAOP, for being part of this memorable occasion and for his continued support of our students and profession.
