Winter Weather Policy

At Popes Lil Britches, the safety of our children, families, and staff is always our top priority. We understand that winter weather can be unpredictable, and we want to clearly communicate how weather-related decisions will be handled.

🌨️ During the Day Winter Weather

We will make every effort to remain open as long as conditions are safe.

If winter weather develops or worsens during the day, we will closely monitor road and travel conditions.

If we determine that travel is becoming unsafe, parents will be notified for immediate pickup.

❄️ Overnight / Morning Winter Weather

In the event of overnight winter weather, we will closely monitor road conditions early in the morning.

If conditions are deemed unsafe for travel, teachers will notify parents of their classroom that the classroom will be closed for the day.

We will do our best to notify families as early as possible.
