Stay tuned for the announcement of 2030 dates! The city of Taft's birthday bash pays homage to the hardy men and women who migrated to this dusty southwestern corner of the San Joaquin Valley when oil seeps were detected shortly after the turn of the century. Oildorado runs for 10 days, and it has something for everyone. Previous events have included a grand parade, melodrama, queen pageant, enter

tainment, barbecues, dances, motorcycle races, car show, civic luncheon, carnival, World War II aircraft exhibit and fly-in, art and craft fair, oilfield skills contests and much more. Our next celebration will take place October 10-19, 2025. Oildorado is planned and carried out by an all-volunteer non-profit corporation with plenty of help from local schools, clubs, churches, and service and fraternal organizations that sponsor events and activities and raise some money to boot. Oildorado, Inc. coordinates the many activities that make up the celebration and raises funds for the next event. An eight-member Executive Board of Directors oversees the workings of a Board of Directors and Community Liaisons responsible for planning events sponsored directly by Oildorado, Inc. and coordinating activities of other organizations. Simply put, it takes an entire town working together to put on something as big and fun-filled as Taft Oildorado Days.

We don’t want you making New Year’s Eve plans without us… so we’re giving you a heads-up now!

Rock Into 2027 is coming to the Oildorado Event Center on Thursday, December 31, and it’s shaping up to be a night you won’t want to miss.

Now… before the comments start… 😂

“Who’s the band?”
“How much are tickets?”
“Will there be VIP tables?”
“What’s included with VIP?”
“Can I reserve a table?”

We know. We know.

We’re keeping those details under wraps just a little longer.

We’ll kick it off on September Eve (August 31) with all the details—the band, ticket information, VIP options, and everything else you’ve been waiting to hear. 🤘🏻🎸

Until then… keep December 31 open. We’ll take it from there.

Taft was red, white and banging with the Posse, Wooden Nickel Gang and 2025 Oildorado Queen and Maids of Petroleum making a parade appearance this morning!

Thank you to the Taft Chamber Commerce for a great event and the chance to celebrate our community and country.

OILDORADO is pleased to bring back the ever popular CARNIVAL!!! Opening night is Thursday, May 7, 2026 and will run for 10 days, until May 17. Hours are 5:00 to 10:00 pm daily.

CONGRATULATIONS to all honorees at last night's Taft Chamber Commerce Roots & Recognition 2026 Installation Dinner & Awards Ceremony.

Our community is so blessed to have dedicated individuals who take the time to work hard and give back. That includes the staff and board members of the Taft District Chamber of Commerce; thank you for all you do! And congratulations to Oildorado Past President (2005) Glenn Black on his installation as 2026 Chamber Board President.

We were especially proud to see our friend Bobbi recognized as a Volunteer of the Year. She was a fixture around the Oildorado Store and Event Center last October. We knew she was amazing, so it makes us happy to see others appreciate her as much as we do!
