I am Greg "Woody" Benedict and currently running for the 2023 Taft ISD School Board Trustee position. I was raised in Baytown, Texas, and moved to the area in 2007 where I became employed with Kiewit Offshore Services in Ingleside, Texas. At KOS I currently hold the position of Senior Project Manager and build offshore rigs. Over 10 years ago I married my wife Miranda Gonzales-Benedict, and we have 2 children and 2 dogs. In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, hunting, cooking, and taking on small projects around the house. Taft has been my home for some time now, and I enjoy the tightknit community where everyone knows each other, and someone is always willing to help. I chose to put my name on the ballot to bring fresh perspective to the school district. As the world advances, we can help increase the ability for children not to be left behind as they enter the workforce or decide to choose higher education. My experience with the Ingleside Financial Advisory Group I feel I have a lot to offer and can help the children of the future. My family and I appreciate your vote and consideration in the upcoming election.
