WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! We hope that all of our older students had a great first week back. 💙This week, we welcome our kindergarteners and our TK students!

Back to School night is Tuesday, September 22nd! Enter through the main entrance to explore the classrooms, chat with your student’s teacher, and check out the artwork kids have already been working on. Prior to the Open House, there will be a Fifth Grade Information Meeting in the café. Fifth Grade families will learn about camp, band, orchestra, the fifth grade musical, etc.
Fifth graders will also have the opportunity to try out instruments at school on Thursday, September 24th.

Our first PTA meeting of the year is September 28th at 6:30pm in the school library. We’ll introduce new board members, hear updates from Dr. Daw, vote on new standing rules, and share all the great things happening with the Grant CEA PTA this year. ✨
While voting is reserved for current PTA members, everyone is welcome to attend and learn more. 🤝

📆𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝟭–𝟱 start Wednesday, September 9, 9:00AM.
📆𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 + 𝗧𝗧𝗞 start Monday, September 14, 9:00AM.
🔔We cannot wait to see students at school and ready to go at 9:00AM.
⏰A quick reminder: staff does not supervise students before school. Younger students should stay with an adult, and no students should be dropped off unsupervised before 8:50am.

Come grab some stuff!!! The Grant CEA teachers are cleaning house and are offering it up out front of school for the taking! Today (Friday) only!!

This year’s last big ask for help … plus an advertisement/bit of a warning 😂😬😂. Tomorrow, Friday June 12, we need a few parents to help teachers with moving tables and unwanted classroom objects/supplies out in front of the school in the middle of the day. Volunteers can check in at the office and they should be able to point us in the right direction.

Unwanted items will be set up as a free “yard sale” for parents & families to come and “shop” before and after school pick up. Tables will be set up in front of Grant on N 11th. If you are not wanting to “shop” with your kiddos, please take the long way around! Any unclaimed items will be donated.

The Grant CEA Artist in Residence project for this year is almost complete. We have one last push to get the Best of Good grouted before school is out for the summer! We are looking for 1-2 parents on the following days starting tomorrow, in the Grant courtyard:

Tuesday 6/9: 1PM- 5PM-ish
Wednesday 6/10: 2PM- 5PM-ish
Thursday 6/11: exact time TBA, tentatively in the afternoon
And possibly more, depending on the progress.

The Grant CEA PTA's mission is to raise money to fund integrated arts programming at Grant and to build community for Grant students, staff and neighbors. There are funds that have been returned to the PTA this year that would be considered one-time funds and the PTA would like community input on priority areas to budget these funds (approximately $10,000). Additionally, as the PTA and the school's Arts Committee budget the funds raised by the PTA, what are the most important funding needs right now?

We’re asking that you complete the survey below. This information will be used to create and approve a 2026-27 PTA budget (reviewed and discussed at the 6/4 (NEXT THURSDAY!) PTA meeting- JOIN US! Dinner and childcare included) and will be used by the school's Arts Committee to develop the 2026-27 Arts Budget for the school.
