“Change can not be achieved alone. We must continue using our voices to advocate for the communities we represent. I have no doubt that each and everyone one of the Class of 2026 will carry this mission forward, creating paths for future generations to dream bigger, go further, and live more freely than those who came before.”

“What is meant for us really does find its way to us, even if it has to move mountains. So, take that first step. Chase the thing that keeps calling you and let yourself be surprised. The rest has a remarkable way of falling into place.”

“None of us leave here with all the answers, and we are sure to face failures in the future. But today, we leave here with something more important: the ability to keep growing and choosing ourselves every single day. And when we forget, choose to lean on the people who remind us of who we are.”
–Abigail Brown ‘26, College of Professional Studies graduate

“Through all of this, I have learned that there is no one ‘right path.’ Wherever we go next, and whatever we choose to do, it is enough. We are allowed to change, explore, and dream bigger. This moment isn't about having all the right answers, it’s about honoring everything it took to get here. And for some of us, this moment means even more. It means breaking cycles, opening doors, and becoming the first, but not the last, and that is something to be proud of.”

“When I was first looking at colleges, most told me I’d have to choose between football, choir, and theater. PLU was the only place that told me, “You can do it all” — and I actually did! As a very recent graduate, I know my PLU story was possible because of generous people who have helped fund scholarships.”
