The Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application provides more than just access to meals. It's a key to unlocking funding and support for students in our schools.

Congratulations again, Ms. Malia! 🤍👏💙🐦

All-Star Educator Malia Fakatoufifita makes her classroom at Fawcett Elementary in Tacoma feel like a second home to her fourth and fifth grade students.

Recognizing that some of her students face challenging environments at home, Fakatoufifita’s nominators point to the Tacoma Public Schools teacher’s history of working intentionally and deliberately to make sure school is a safe and stable environment for the students she works with.

They also say that Fakatoufifita “demonstrates exceptional empathy by prioritizing her students' emotional well-being alongside their academic growth” and shows “deep commitment to every student's success.”

Drop your student off in their classroom this morning, then swing by the STEAM Lab at 9:00 AM for our PTA-sponsored "Bye Bye Family Mingle." Meet other TK/K families, chat with Fawcett PTA, and grab some refreshments while your little one settles into their big new adventure.

Beyond the Bell Session 1 Registration Closes 9/13!

Fawcett still has space in the following clubs:
*ICM Youth Braiding Workshop 💇🏼‍♀️💈
*Move & Groove Theatre 💃🕺
*Multisport ⚽🏀🏉🏐

Our students can participate in fun but structured after-school programs through Beyond the Bell for elementary students and Club B program for middle schoolers. Registration opened on September 1st for our school. Find more information on our school's website under the "Activities" menu or register here.
From STEM to arts athletics and more, these programs offer something for everyone. I recommend you try one out this year!

Beyond the Bell & Club B - Tacoma Public Schools serves students in Pierce County, Fircrest, University Place, Ruston, Lakewood, Federal Way, Puyallup and the surrounding area.
