Congratulations to the class of 2026! It was great to see our Roadrunners walk the halls of Waller Road yesterday.

Our very own playground supervisors were honored in the Puyallup Praise Spotlight this week. We love them!!

This week’s Puyallup Praise shines a spotlight on two paraeducators who help navigate the energy, activity, and excitement of recess at Waller Road Elementary.

Nominated by Brady Christoph, a district physical therapist, we are recognizing Linda Molinari and Shauna Bagley for this week’s Puyallup Praise!

"Linda and Shauna are two very accomplished recess supervisors who lead an active playground program at Waller Road Elementary. They organize games, manage multiple classes, and make sure children feel safe, proud, and cared for. Their students return to class energized and ready to learn."

This Saturday is the Puyallup School District STEAM Celebration at Firgrove Elementary from 10-2. Come join Mrs. Wonner, Ms. Winskie, Ms. Barrett and other staff members to have fun with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Our Roadrunner community came through in a BIG way. We collected 1,678 pairs of socks during our March Gladness campaign. These socks will help families in our local area through the Pierce County Santa Cops program which provides support during the holiday season.

Our 6th grade band students performed last night with the Aylen Jr. High band and other 6th grade band students from around the districts. Great job, Roadrunners!

As a reminder, due to the December 17 school closure, Friday, February 13, 2026, is as a school make-up day.

February 13 is one of two emergency make-up days, along with May 22, built into this year's district calendar to account for unexpected closures. These make-up days ensure students receive the required instructional time without extending the school year.

Friday morning, our school had the privilege of welcoming Tacoma Arts Live for a powerful performance from their Civil Rights Legacy Tour, honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The production, 11 Days in the Life of Dr. King, brought Dr. King’s story to life through music, dance, spoken word, and historic imagery, helping our students connect deeply with his message of justice, dignity, and community.

During the month of January, our front display case featured Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech for students and families to view.
