The science behind it 👇:
✔️ Moving or singing to a steady beat lowers cortisol (stress) and increases oxytocin (happy chemical), priming the brain for learning.
✔️ Making music WITH others syncs brainwaves and heartbeats, so you're on the same page.
✔️ Making music with others also increases LISTENING skills—kiddos are anticipating those aural cues.

Even if you don't LOVE your own singing voice, your child does. When you make music like no one's watching, you transfer that confidence and creativity to them. Look at it like the best developmental hack ever (because it is)!

Parents! 🗣️
Want a fun activity with your kiddo to do indoors or during bad weather? Grab a laundry basket, a towel, and watch their little faces light up!
Be sure to go slowly and position the child safely. That's very important, particularly when using a blanket or towel.

What if Carole's parents hadn't been encouraging? The sky is the limit when we allow children to explore their own creative capacity, and give them motivation and tools they need to be the best version of themselves!

Little hands, big creativity! 🌊🥁

Our toddlers had so much fun designing their very own Wave Drums at home for Kindermusik this week! After decorating each drum with colorful beads, bells, stickers, and drawings, the children proudly shared their creations with the class before bringing them to life through music.

Wave drums are more than just a fun craft—they encourage:
🎵 Creativity and self-expression
🖐️ Fine motor development through decorating and assembling
👂 Listening skills as children explore different sounds and rhythms
💜 Confidence as they proudly show off something they made themselves

There is something so special about watching little faces light up with pride when they say, "I made it!" We love giving children opportunities to create, explore, and make music with instruments that are uniquely their own!
