FREE Supervision of Supervision Groups for Washington State Clinical Supervisors!

PLU Social Work is offering two small, fully virtual Supervision of Supervision groups this fall—completely FREE. These groups provide a supportive space for clinical supervisors to reflect on their practice, discuss real supervisory challenges, and connect with peers across disciplines.

A Conversation with Douglas Braun-Harvey, LMFT, CGP “When S*x Feels Out of Control: Finding Your Way to S*xual Health”

Douglas Braun-Harvey is a nationally and internationally recognized s*xual health author, trainer, psychotherapist, and Certified S*x Therapist and Supervisor. He is co-founder of The Harvey Institute and co-author of Treating Out of Control S*xual Behavior: Rethinking S*x Addiction. His work offers a compassionate, evidence-informed alternative for understanding s*xual behavior that moves beyond simply labeling s*xuality as problematic or addictive.

This topic feels particularly important for our clinical community. Clinicians do not have to specialize in s*x therapy to need a strong foundation in s*xual health. We are increasingly encountering clients—and couples and families—who arrive in therapy concerned about po*******hy use, “s*x addiction,” or s*xual behavior that feels out of control. How we understand and respond to these concerns matters. This framework allows us to take clients’ distress seriously while also approaching s*xuality without unnecessary shame, pathologizing, or assumptions about what healthy s*xuality should look like.

Registration is required, and in-person attendance is limited to 100 participants. Live streaming is available for those who would like to attend virtually.
