During the last week of school our kindergarteners had a walk up day to spend time with their firstie teacher next year. They had a great time sharing what excited them about first grade and reading a silly story. Mrs. Muller is excited to welcome this crew to the firstie classroom.

Congratulations to our Kindergarten Class of 2026!
This week we celebrated a very special milestone as our kindergarten students graduated and prepared to take their next step into first grade. We are so proud of all they have learned, the friendships they have built, and the growth they have shown throughout the year.
Thank you to our families for joining us as we celebrated this memorable day. We look forward to seeing all the amazing things our graduates will accomplish as they continue their journey at PSJ.
Congratulations, Kindergarten graduates! The future is bright, and we can’t wait to watch you shine.

Our Firsties wrapped up their Animal Adaptations unit with exciting hands-on learning! Students explored how animal adaptations help living things survive in their environments. One favorite activity challenged students to discover which “beak” was best for gathering food using spoons, tweezers, and clothespins. They recorded their findings in a data table to determine which beak was best adapted for the environment.
The camouflage investigation was another class favorite. Students tested which butterflies were easier for predators to spot and catch. Can you guess which were harder to find—the green butterflies or the patterned butterflies?
To conclude the unit, students became travelers to different regions around the world and designed adaptations to help themselves survive, just like animals and plants do. We had a blast sharing our creative final projects and celebrating all we learned about adaptations!

Our 3rd graders put their STEM skills to work as they explored the anatomy of a squid through a hands on dissection. Students carefully observed and identified different body parts while learning how structure and function help these fascinating creatures survive in their ocean habitat. What an exciting way to bring science to life!

Our 7th grade STEM students recently completed an impressive disease research project! Each student selected a disease of interest and explored its impact on the human body. They created detailed body diagrams highlighting the organ system most affected, designed ABC books using each letter of the alphabet to teach others about their disease, and crafted realistic organ replicas representing organs impacted by their research.
We are proud of their creativity, scientific thinking, and dedication to learning about human health and disease!
