This week for Black History Month we have two amazing events happening Friday! First is the Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Mic Night! This event is happening off-campus at North Lights Coffee company on Garfield after hours! BTW we still have some slots available for performances. If you still want to sign up, you can use the QR code available here, refer back to the email sent out, or ask me directly for the link! For those of you who have signed up beforehand, you will be awarded a drink from North Lights on us! If you're still deciding that is totally okay! After the scheduled performances, we will also welcome people to come up and share whatever they choose, whether that be a poem, song, dance, story, freestyle, or spoken-word. We encourage all types of art including bringing something in and simply telling us about your artistic process! This is an open space for our students and community members to express themselves freely and be received openly! See y'all there ~ PR Marae 🌺

Happy Black History Month Y’all! Let’s all reconnect before Spring semester gets crazy! This Friday we want to invite ya to join us in the D center to regroup, reconnect and unite for Black History month and Spring semester! A big black power fist will be made so each of us can include our handprint as representation and a message that WE ARE BLACK AT PLU AND AIN’T GOING ANYWHERE! This poster will then be hung in the auc so everyone can see! We will also be talking about hair, hair products, and protective styles! Special guest and member Eunice will be giving us a demonstration of a few braiding styles and techniques for anyone interested in learning! The officers and Eunice will all be bringing our fav hair products to share with y’all so if you got some 🔥 product you’d like to put us on, please bring it in to show! If anything please stop by and add your handprint to our rep poster!🥰💗 See y’all Friday! ~PR Director Marae🌺
