Please remember to use a U-Bolt lock for your bike at all times. Use a steering wheel lock on your car. Both of these tools significantly decrease the risk of theft. Keeping a completely empty and clean car interior will reduce the risk of auto break-in.

We are rolling out new uniforms at Security Services. Campus Safety Officers in maroon shirts & black pants with lime green and black coats. Campus Safety Assistants (student employees) will wear Maroon shirts & tan pants with sweet yellow jackets.

Safety Alert:
Pedestrians, please use caution when walking near roads, particularly after dark. The university has seen an increase in reckless driving on streets, parking lots, and SIDEWALKS. Please do not engage with drivers or passengers in vehicles driving recklessly. Clear the area and call security services at 253-879-3311 when safe, if you are on campus. If off campus call 911.
Security Services has increased vehicle patrols on the streets near the university and has asked the Tacoma Police Department for increased patrols as well.

Aggressive Crows Near Jones Hall
Happy summer everybody! It is the crow-fledgling season here on campus. There are multiple fledglings known to be on the ground around campus. Fledgling parents will feed and look after them while they are on the ground so please don't disturb them
Please use caution! The parents can be AGGRESSIVE! Currently, there are several crows aggressively protecting a fledge near Jones Hall.
Please leash your dogs! :-)
