Bark Beetle Book Vol. XLIV: Contested Groves by Suze Woolf
Both humans and bark beetles have designs on forests--as landscaping elements for the former and food and shelter for the latter. This book explores their increasing competition by contrasting page proportions of beetle gallery graphics versus landscape plans.

Modified Coptic binding, milled shoulder boards with Douglas fir beetle galleries, laser-cut MDF particle boards with laser-print transfers, waxed linen thread, bone and brass beads.

Waiting for Roses by Jessie Wing
Roses have been treasured for their beauty, practical use, and rich symbolism for over 35 million years. Against many odds, my father developed a fragrant rose garden in the Arizona desert and on his ancestral homestead in China. Here, cold winters make us wait for our flowers. We patiently anticipate roses for their ephemeral presence - a strong reverence for roses that has endured for generations.

Stab binding sewn with a bamboo spine. Monoprints, personal photos, hand-painted photographs on cotton paper, and rose petals.
