Here at the CLSR, we are lucky to have an Advisory Board that consists of wonderful local business leaders who voluntarily devote themselves to the CLSR at UW Tacoma. Providing advice, advocacy, and counsel for the growth and development of programs and initiatives, we appreciate the collaborative building of networks at the CLSR thanks to each member of our Advisory Board.

We would like you to get to know our local leaders, today we will get to know, Claudia Frere-Anderson. ✨

Claudia serves as Chair for the CLSR Advisory Board. She is currently a Sustainability Consultant with ISOS Group, a division of Environ Energy.

Prior to her current role, Claudia led the University of Washington’s Sustainability office where she was instrumental to implementing the University’s Climate Action Plan commitments.

From 2009 to 2021, Claudia developed and shaped the UW’s sustainability office, oversaw institutional sustainability reporting, and catalyzed a myriad of carbon reduction programs. Her work led to connecting stakeholders with the UW’s climate goals and objectives, where collaboration with students, faculty, and administration were paramount to driving ambitions towards a sustainable campus.

Today Claudia helps organizations in the private and public sectors assess and disclose their environmental, social, and governance performance with published reports. She has worked with food and agriculture clients, real estate, technology, aerospace, and higher education. She’s passionate about aligning purpose to action, creating community, and connecting people with ideas.

Claudia loves the outdoors and can often be seen hiking with her husband and three dogs on the Olympic Peninsula trails. 🐶 ❤️
