Today’s Senior Spotlight is Stacy Muhita. Stacy was nominated by Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Bruinsma, and Mrs. Tracy. Mrs. Lee shares, “Stacy is one of those young women who embodies grit, perseverance, and style! She is full of life and has proudly served as the BSU Vice President for two years. Her grace in representing her culture, balancing work and school, and continuing to show up through life’s obstacles is what makes her stand out as she continues to rise. It is an honor to hear her sing the Black National Anthem and use her powerful gift and voice to uplift others. I know she will be successful in all she does because she is driven, resilient, and incredibly gifted.”

Today’s Senior Spotlight is K’Naysha Haskins. K’Naysha was nominated by Mrs. Tracy, Mrs. Lee, and Mrs. Plaskett Rosario. Mrs. Lee states, “K’Naysha is pure joy! Her greetings, contagious energy, dance moves, willingness to help, and support for her peers is everything and then some. She brings light into every space she enters and makes those around her feel seen and valued. I am so honored to recommend her for the Senior Spotlight! She shines bright, and I hope she continues to shine boldly wherever life takes her next.” Mrs. Plaskett-Rosario adds, “K’naysha is an incredibly hardworking student who consistently puts forth their best effort in everything they do. They approach challenges with determination and a positive attitude, and their kindness toward others stands out every day. They have a naturally caring presence, often looking out for classmates, offering support, and helping create a welcoming environment for everyone around them. Their compassion, responsibility, and dedication make them a valued member of the school community.

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Jackeline Villagomez-Bautista . Jackie was nominated by Mr. Melvard, Mrs. Mead, Mrs. Hemicker, and Mrs. Sawada. Mrs. Hemicker states, “Jackie has been awesome since day 1 of her freshman year. She’s an exceptional math student and a go-getter, and I know she will accomplish great things!” Mr. Melvard adds, “Jackie is such hard working student. If something is difficult she never stops pushing until she overcomes the obstacle. She also is an incredibly kind human that is always smiling. She is the whole package!”

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Karla Flores-De La Cruz. Karla was nominated by Mrs. Hemicker, Mr. Brennan, Ms. Yoshioka, and Mrs. Tracy. Mrs. Hemicker notes, “Karla is a very bright student who has grown so much academically over her high school career. She is super kind and a genuinely awesome kid!”

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Boston Chang. Boston was nominated by Mrs. Utecht, Mrs. T. Disney, and Mrs. Pascal. Mrs. Pascal says, “Boston is an outstanding student when it comes to community and caring for our school climate. She always strives for perfection and does amazing work!” Mrs. T. Disney adds, “Boston has been an amazing leader at our school and in sports medicine club. She has served as Sports Medicine Club President for two years and helped our school in numerous ways. She is hard working, creative and will continue to do great things after graduation.”

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Saniyalynn Seng. Saniyalynn was nominated by Mr. Melvard, Ms. Yoshioka, Mrs. Shoopman, and Mrs. Mead. Mr. Melvard shares, “Saniyalynn is a quiet positive presence that doesn’t stay quiet on the bowing lanes. She leads in many ways and her teammates will miss her infectious attitude and cheerleading skill next year.” Mrs. Shoopman adds, “Even as a Freshman, Saniyalynn has demonstrated that she is responsible beyond her years. She was the first person in our class to get all of her advisory assignments complete, and she did it well before the deadline. She was also known for turning in high quality work. I know she will be successful in whatever she decides to do after high school with her great focus and drive.”

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Savannah Willis. Savannah was nominated by Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Sawada, Mrs. Bruinsma, and Ms. Jacobsen. Mrs. Lee states, “It is an honor to recommend Savannah Willis for the Senior Spotlight. She is a natural leader who stands firmly in her truth, uses her voice unapologetically, and has represented our Black culture with excellence. As the BSU President for two years in a row, Savannah has led with strength, compassion, and purpose while making a lasting impact on the FP community. Her contributions to FP as a whole are both seen and deeply felt throughout our school community. It has been an honor and privilege to support Savannah as she prepares to step into her next dream of attending an HBCU. Savannah, keep reaching for the stars — you are destined to reach them!”
