How can we not love a light corner with a disco ball?

The smile on our face is just as big as the rainbow’s smile that queen Elsa drew during class today 😍

There’s such a huge value in giving children the space to take full control of not only their learnings but with getting their needs met too.

When designing our space we work hard to make sure it is a space for the children to fully enjoy on their own. We want them to be able to freely grab materials from the art shelves to complete the vision they have in their head. We want them to be able to unscrew the glue bottle and dump it all out if that’s what their idea is telling them to do because when we allow their idea to take shape, we’re allowing their confidence to take shape.

By allowing children to take the lead in their learning, we’re showing children that their wonders and curiosities are important. We’re showing them their voice and thoughts matter 🖤

Play residue will always be a favorite 😍

We’re a huge supporter and believer in a child led and play based environment. This means proof of learning comes home in the form of messy clothes and hands and never ever on a worksheet or adult directed activity.

We believe young children should get the chance to experience too much in order to know what’s just enough. We believe that the process is far more important to our learning than the final product.

By allowing the children to take the lead, we are showing them their curiosities and thoughts are important and that all their work is worth celebrating 🖤
