Welcome to the Tacoma 911 Driving School. We are now offering web-based, instructor led classes for driver education! If you are currently home from school why not complete your driver education program now? Our certified instructors are leading scheduled classes live and per the same curriculum as is taught in the classroom. This web-based, instructor led training is state approved but only for a short time while we fight this virus. All of the classroom learning can be conducted online and when the state allows we will start conducting the behind the wheel portion of the class. You can pay half now and the other half when we start drives! Call now to get signed up for an upcoming class!

As we maneuver through the unfortunate coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions placed upon communities, its citizens and businesses, we are happy to let you know that 911 Driving School of Lakewood & Tacoma have been approved to conduct web based, instructor led classes. For students progressing through our program,

Web based training classes will count towards the state-required classroom sessions. For additional details on your web based course, please look for communications from the driving school you are enrolled in. The first time you sign in, please allow a few minutes to download the software (Zoom).

The health of our students and school staff is of the upmost of importance. If you have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms, please follow CDC guidelines.

We hope you and your families are in good health and look forward to continuing to provide the best quality instruction to our students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your local school where you are enrolled.

Students and Parents,
First and foremost, the safety, health and well-being of our students and their families, as well as our own team members, is our top priority. We take every measure at all times to ensure their safety, whether in the classroom or out on the roads.
We’re aware that local public and private educational institutions will be closed through April 24th. As a private business, we are not subject to the Governor’s executive order requiring these closures. Our driving schools will be open throughout this time unless prohibited by local, county, state, or federal law.
However, we do share concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and we are taking necessary precautions to keep everyone connected to our schools safe and healthy.
If you or your students attending driving classes have been exposed, please follow all medical, local, state CDC and WHO recommendations.
During the past few weeks, our classes have remained full. But, with today’s school closure announcement, we realize additional precautions may be taken. With that in mind, we are working with the Washington State Department of Licensing to accommodate all student absences during this unprecedented time.
I have been working with the Washington State Department of Licensing to allow emergency legislation providing alternative educational methods for our classroom sessions and will share relevant details if and when they come to fruition.
In the meantime, rest assured, we will do everything in our power to support you during this challenging time.

Thank you,

Joseph Giammona
