What an incredible day we had at the Fire Service & EMT Program Open House at Bates Technical College South Campus!

Thank you to everyone who attended, your enthusiasm and curiosity truly set the place ablaze.

We are overjoyed by the turnout and thrilled to have had the opportunity to showcase our state-of-the-art equipment, discuss its vital importance, and share educational pathways that can lead to a rewarding career in fire services.

Bates Technical College is proud to support the Eastside Community Market Resource Fair. Join us August 25 from 2-6 pm, at Portland Ave. Park for a free family event in farmers’ market style.

The Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) will award two (2) $3,000 scholarships to individuals enrolling and four (4) $3,000 scholarships to individuals currently enrolled in a Washington State automotive technology program (full list of schools available at www.wsada.org).
In addition, three (3) $3,000 scholarships will also be awarded to Washington State high school seniors who are an employee of a WSADA-member dealership, an immediate family member of a WSADA-member dealership employee, or applying to Northwood University’s Automotive Marketing and Management Program.

As the Omicron variant has caused a rapid increase in cases recently, we have modified our in person New Student Orientation to be a virtual event instead. Although we were looking forward to meeting you in person, we believe this adjustment is the best option to keep everyone safe.



Please note the event will run from 12:30pm to 2pm on 1/7, Friday on Zoom. Agenda is attached here for your information. Additionally, you will hear from our current students on a panel.
