🌕🏮 What a wonderful day at the Tacoma Moon Festival! 🌙

KBTC + KBTC Kids had a great time celebrating with the community, enjoying the colorful performances and festivities, and welcoming families to our booth for some PBS KIDS fun and crafts! 🎨💙

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, create something with us and share in such a joyful celebration. We loved being part of a day filled with culture, community and connection! 🐉✨

📣 Join Elmo and Abby Cadabby on a once-in-a-lifetime African safari adventure! KBTC PBS, Pierce County Library, and Timberland Regional Library invite families to a free preview screening of Nature: “Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure,” presented in collaboration with Sesame Workshop.

Elmo, Abby, and the Sesame Street friends travel to The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya to meet a young elephant they adopted online and the keepers who care for her. 🐘

In Sesame Street’s first-ever safari, our friends embark on an unforgettable journey of discovery, taking them from the caring confines of the elephant sanctuary into the unpredictable African bush, where they come face-to-face with some of nature’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, and hippos. 🦁🦓🦒🦛

Families will watch a portion of the special, take-home branded giveaways, and explore books and activities about animals, ecology, and conservation.

This screening event is part of a national initiative funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, bringing NATURE “Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure” to families and children in communities across the country, in partnership with local libraries.

NATURE “Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure” premieres Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 8/7c on PBS, PBS Kids, PBS.org, YouTube, and the PBS app, and will be available to stream for 28 days following the premiere.

We want to thank the Buffalo Soldiers Museum for inviting us to their Labor Day Festival in Tacoma. So many neighbors stopped by to say hello, chat about their favorite PBS programs, and do crafts with their little ones. We're already looking forward to next year! 😎
