The University of Washington Tacoma’s Institute for Innovation and Global Engagement (IIGE) is pleased to host the 2026 Global Engagement Conference on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at William Philip Hall | UW Tacoma.

This annual conference brings together forward thinking, solution oriented projects and papers that address the global issues connecting us all. The event showcases the exceptional work of graduate and undergraduate students from UW Tacoma and partner institutions across the region.

The University of Washington Tacoma’s Institute for Innovation and Global Engagement (IIGE) is now accepting submissions for undergraduate and graduate academic papers, poster presentations, design projects, and art for the Global Engagement Conference on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Open to graduates and undergraduates at UW Tacoma and area institutions, the Global Engagement Conference brings together forward-thinking, solution-oriented projects and papers on global issues that connect us all.

🌐 With the IIGE’s mission of inclusion and global engagement at the forefront, we are excited to return to our enduring theme: Innovations Across Borders.

Under this broad and vital theme, we invite work across the following sub-areas developed through campus and community ideathons:
