Tabor City High School was located in Tabor City, North Carolina, 1906-1992. TCHS was a 1A division Columbus County School, serving grades 9-12. It closed in 1992 when it was combined with Nakina and Williams Township High Schools to form South Columbus High. The former TCHS campus is now home to Tabor City Elementary School. The original high school buildings including the gym and auditorium were

demolished in 2020. Tabor City High School is fondly remembered by generations of alumni. Go Big Red!

The N.C. Yam Festival returns to Tabor City on Saturday with a parade, live music and family-friendly fun celebrating the town’s sweet potato heritage.

The NC Yam Festival at Tabor City takes place this weekend in Tabor City! We hope you’ll attend TCHS Alumni Reunion on Saturday.

As of right now, we have 132 vendors with more still to add! The Parade is shaping up to be out of this world with 5 Shrine Groups, Queens, JROTC, bands, scouts, and lots more! The entertainment scheduled is top notch! KidsZone will have a few new additions. The Car Show will be rocking! There will be delicious food, creative crafts and so much more!! This is going to be an awesome festival! Join us in Tabor City on Saturday, October 25th for the NC Yam Festival!
