Library Fines Due? Donate Food Instead!
In the spirit of the holidays, Syracuse University Libraries will participate in “Food for Fines” between Monday, Dec. 2, and Friday, Dec. 13. Patrons with overdue circulation fines can reduce their fines by $1 for each healthy, nonperishable food item donated.

It is apparent that although nonprofits work hard to attend to the symptoms, hunger in the US, at colleges or elsewhere, is a malady that food pantries alone cannot mend.

Such a great idea from the University of Florida!! The Hendricks Chapel Food Pantry will be teaming up with Syracuse University Libraries at the end of April to hold a similar event for library fees. Stay tuned!
Nearly 2,000 citations were exchanged for 9,455 food donations. 👏

Congratulations to the Food Bank of Central New York for such a successful Savor Syracuse event last night! Syracuse University and Hendricks Chapel Food Pantry are so glad we were able to with you.
It's official, we've busted the thermometer and reached our goal! Through this generous "Meal Match Challenge" with The Digital Hyve, we are now able to provide up to 18,000 meals to children, families, and seniors in our community.
